Summary
This STSM is related to the use of the mobile device and furniture sensors for the estimation of the Heel-Rise Test
results in order to measure the fatigue level. The measurement of the results of this test can handle the development
of new solutions for the safe aging. This work will implement the rules for the validation of the Heel-Rise Test using
several methods, including peak detection algorithms and machine learning technics. Related to the equipment, I will
use the sensors available in the mobile devices and others, e.g., pressure sensors on the wall. This STSM starts with
the research about the state-of-the-art and the initial development of the new method for the automatic measurement
of the results.
